Hello Friends!

I’m home from my vacation, and what a great time it was!!! I’m already planning on returning to the same exact spot 6 months from now…

In the meantime, I have a LOT of work to catch up on, and am back at the grind!  Wedding and family photos to be posted soon…in the meantime, here’s a look at the place I called “home” for the past week:

If you are reading this, I am sipping on a beer and lying on the sand, in a hammock or swimming in the ocean   I am leaving tomorrow, the 19th for Playa Del Carmen, and I am NOT taking my computer.  This will be the first time in my life (since I’ve own a computer) that I have NOT stepped on an airplane without it, even on vacation!  This summer has been the busiest of my life and have been working 12 hour days, most everyday, in front of my computer.  So I am going to go through an intense digital detox (with the exception of my camera…can’t go to Mexico without it).  So look for new posts starting Monday, September 28th.  In closing, I’ll leave you with one of my favorite photos I took during my last vacation to Mexico over two years ago!

Last month (yes, LAST MONTH) I photographed the Eyring family.  Mr. Eyring let me know ahead of time that he was in no hurry to receive the photos and gave the me the o.k. to put their photos on the backburner, since he knew how busy I was with weddings, etc…how nice!  So here they are, finally   John, Jenny and their SEVEN adorable kids!

Today I had the honor of photographing the nuptials of Kyra and Nathan at the Valley Club in Hailey, Idaho.  Kyra looked absolutely stunning in her Vera Wang dress, and Nathan handsome as well!  Here’s a sneak peek of their photos:

I had such a great time capturing Jolie’s Bat Mitzvah!  It was the first Bat Mitzvah I had ever shot, and I didn’t know what to expect.  I truly enjoyed every minute of the experience!  Thanks again to Maria and Sonya for putting together a fabulous event and to Fanny for doing such great job with the execution at Trail Creek.  To see her amazing slideshow, set to the song “I Gotta Feeling” by the Black Eyed Peas, click here. Upon entry, each guest had their photo taken by my fabulous second-shooter Vanessa, and the image was then printed and placed in scrapbook pages for the guest to sign.  What a great idea!

The coctail hour was full of fun!  There were hoola-hoop games and airbrush tattooing:

Each guest was given a LED belt buckle with their name already programmed in!

Yesterday I had the BEST 30th birthday present…I had the ABSOLUTE PLEASURE to capture the wedding of Jaeger and Tony.  I offered my services as second-shooter to the ever-fabulous Hillary Maybery and was honored to do so…Jaeger was just so amazingly beautiful, in her CUSTOM Vera Wang dress, and Tony was a gentleman and his guys absolutely cracked me up!! They were childhood sweethearts who grew up in the same neighborhood, and have blossomed into two lovely individuals who are admired by many.  Here is a sneak peek of a few of the images I captured below:

I had an absolute BLAST capturing Jen and Patrick’s wedding.  I knew it was going to be a fun time after I met them last Christmas for their engagement shoot.  They exchanged vows at Sun Valley’s Trail Creek and moved the party inside the cabin.  Click here to view their slideshow, set to their first-dance song “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”.  Below are a few photos.

Jen and Patrick’s gift to their guests was coffee!  They both LOVE Tully’s coffee here in Sun Valley, and provided an assortment of flavors that their guests could choose from!

Here’s a look at a few of their engagement photos that I took last winter.  Their sign-in book was a hit!

This series of shots are hilarious!  I took shots of the guys running towards me, then they had the idea to switch it up a little and have Patrick running away from them!
