Jamie and Kyler are such a fun and carefree couple.  They married at Galena Lodge and it was definitely a family affair.  Kyler’s sister did Jamie’s makeup, and the talented ladies at Third Floor Saloon created beautiful up-dos for Jamie and her best friends.  Claudia from Atkinson’s provided the flowers for the day, and Kyler’s mom arranged them.  The arbor under which Jamie and Kyler exchanged vows was built by Kyler and his Dad, Kyler and Jamie’s mother decorated it with them.  Here are some of my favorite photos from the day :)

Words can’t begin to explain the emotion and love that was felt during Jenny and Kelly’s truly beautiful and heartfelt wedding.  I began the day photographing a very nervous Jenny getting ready at the Sun Valley Salon, while Kelly was SUPPOSED to be writing her vows (;.  Instead I found her pacing the halls with a beer in her hand.  After they changed in their wedding day Dress and Suit, we laughed throughout their pre-wedding portraits.  Although there was plenty of laughter during moments of their beautiful ceremony, there wasn’t a dry eye as one of their readers shared the story of Edith Windsor and Thea Spyer’s epic love story.  The coctail hour, overlooking the big wood river, was filled with hugs, tears and laughter and the sentiment continued on throughout the evening with heartfelt toasts leading into Jenny and Kelly’s first dance to Same Love, surrounded by their friends who formed a circle with their holding hands.  Jenny and Kelly, you touched many hearts with your beautiful ceremony and the love you two share for one another.  Thank you.

A note from the brides:  We were honored to have friends and family join us from Idaho and those who traveled from Washington State, California, Colorado, Texas, Germany and England to celebrate with us!  Kristin and Kat were FANTASTIC photographers.  They made us feel very comfortable and pretty, not an easy task on a wedding day :) Jenny and Kelly

I had an instant connection with Lisa and Stuart when I met them at Redfish Lake Lodge one year ago for their engagement session.  They are extremely fun and loving people and I was very excited to meet their family and friends on their wedding day.  Lisa put a ton of effort into the decor and personalization for their wedding reception site, so much, in fact, that they drove a U-Haul filled with wedding decor from Vancouver Washington to Redfish!  Their wedding day went off flawlessly and here are some of my favorite images from their special day:

I am soo honored to have been voted as one of the best photographers in the Valley!  This is the first time I have received such recognition here and with soo many talented photographers in the area, I am truly grateful for all the love!  Thank you!

Katie and Zach are an ADORABLE couple and I absolutely loved capturing their adoration for one another during their wedding earlier this month.  We had a blast while taking their “reveal” photos and laughing throughout the day.  I wish the two of them a lifetime of happiness!

Lili+Belle

April 29, 2012

Recently I had the pleasure of photographing Lili and her new pup, Belle.  Belle is a rescued German Shepherd, and is only 5 weeks old!  Lili knew she had to get pics right away to capture Belle’s tiny features :)   The photography session was held in my photography studio located in downtown Ketchum.

A Week with Dad :)

August 10, 2011

This week has been WONDERFUL, as my Dad is in town!  He visits me 3 times per year, and I am always excited to see him.  I was super happy to show him my new photography studio during this visit, and I think he really likes it.  I’ve been splitting my days this week editing for a half day, then enjoying Sun Valley with Dad during the second half.  Look for more posts in the near future from recent weddings and family shoots.  HUGE thanks to Hillary Maybery for stopping in the studio to grab this shot of Dad and I.

Victoria + Jackson: Engaged

February 27, 2011

I had a great time getting to know Victoria and Jackson last month while I photographed their engagement session!  These two were a blast to hang out with…just carefree and easy-going!  I look forward to photographing their wedding this summer at Redfish lake!

Jackson spent many years living in Ketchum and working at Smokey Mountain Pizza.  It was soo fun to go back there to have a little fun!

We then went to the Casino Bar to grab a beer, what a coincidence that BOTH of their beer caps had the two of hearts underneath!
