Vanessa + Adrian

October 18, 2010

Words can’t begin to describe how cute Vanessa and Adrian are together!!! I have actually known both of them for quite a while as I work in the same building as Adrian.  When Adrian approached me several months ago to tell me that he was about to propose to Vanessa I about screamed…but he wanted to keep it secret and had even planned on proposing to “Nessie” out on a hiking trail north of Ketchum.  The proposal was soo very special to him that he wanted to make sure I was there to capture the moment with my camera.  We had planned on me heading north and walking up the hill with my camera, then he would leave shortly after with Vanessa and on my way down the trail we would say hello and I would say that I was out photographing the wildflowers then walk short ways down the trail and turn around and capture Vanessa’s expression as Adrian got down on one knee.  That didn’t happen though…instead a trip to Paris came to fruition and Adrian couldn’t pass up proposing in the world’s most romantic city!  I was absolutely tickled pink, however when Adrian asked that I photograph their engagement session and their wedding (to take place next summer).  Photographing these two’s engagement photos was soo much fun and, well, quite easy because I never once had to “ask” them to kiss!  These two are soo very much in love, they are always connected!  Now onto the photos!

October 11, 2010

I had such a wonderful time photographing Gladys for her senior portraits!!! Gladys was in Sun Valley visiting from her home state of Texas and wanted to capture the beauty of Idaho in her portraits.  We spent a wonderful afternoon together on the trails, the river, and in downtown Ketchum.

When I received the call last year from Jen last year to photograph her wedding in Sandpoint, Idaho I was ecstatic!  I was not only excited for Jen (I have enjoyed a great work relationship with her for many years) but also excited to photograph a wedding in a totally new location!  Sandpoint is a beautiful area in northern Idaho where, in fact, Jen and Ryan met.  Ryan’s family has a house overlooking the lake (which is where the ceremony was held) and the views are absolutely breath-taking!  Jen was absolutely breath-taking as well, and just a great pleasure to photograph and be around.  Ryan is a stand-up guy and truly loves Jen!  Below you will see some of the images from their big day!  Click here to view their wedding slideshow!

Jen and Ryan decided to attach their wedding rings to something with buoyancy, JUST in case they were to drop their rings on the dock…cute!

The details were super fun!

After the ceremony, Ryan surprised Jen in showing her that he had inscribed the exact nautical location of where they exchanged their vows.

Heart shaped fireworks were the perfect addition to this 4th of July wedding!

I love the firefighter themed wedding cake!

At the end of the night Jen and Ryan made their grand exit on his family’s boat…

Sneak Peek: Katie + Eric

October 4, 2010

This past weekend Hillary Maybery and I were flown to Boston to photograph Katie and Eric’s wedding at Castle Hill!  It was the epitome of a fairy tale wedding!  Katie looked absolutely stunning and Eric handsome as ever!!!  Here are a few of my favorite images that I captured on their special day:

We began photographing their portraits on Crane Beach
